My favorite spot of our home. And the weather today and tonight was perfect. Living in central Indiana we call these nights Michigan nights. For summer vacation we go up to our family’s lake house in northern lower peninsula Michigan. During a July and August when Indianapolis is sweltering with heart and humidity up there, on the beach it stays cool; the perfect summer temperature.
This spot is my favorite spot. I get to look over our pond at the fish jumping and the blue heron chasing those fish. Even in the middle of the suburbs this is my oasis away from it all and it’s always peaceful no matter what’s going on in the world.
We’ve been talking a lot lately, thinking, and praying about where our next move might be. We are closing in on a decade living in this home and it’s been the perfect fit for us since day one, now that we are a family of four it feels more cramped. As we’ve been talking about where and what type of house we want to move to next it had me thinking on today about how I’ll miss this spot a lot. But every home has a spot. An oasis. If you look, are creative, and quiet yourself enough to find it.
