Waiting for spring is a lot like waiting for the sunrise. It’s dark for a long time before you can slowly start to discern distinct shapes. You question whether it’s your eyes adjusting to the dark or if the sun is finally rising. Then before you know it, the gray dark fades to light and it’s obvious to all that the sun has rose.
It’s the same with spring. There is tantalizing warm weather but then it’s followed by random snow storms, rain and bleakness. But then just when you feel like spring will never come, you open your eyes and see the green leaves on trees, the white buds on pear trees and flowers pushing through the cold earth. Spring is finally here.
