day 20

I have always been drawn to water. Swimming, fishing, boating, or simply going to the beach- I’m in. There’s something incredibly calming about water. I don’t know if it’s because of how vast the world seems when you look at the ocean and can’t see the other shore. Or if it’s that water reminds me of relaxation because I always vacation near water. Whatever it is, there’s something that keeps me coming back to water.

Today we ventured not too far from home to a small waterfall. It was foggy when we first got there. As I parked the car, I had a second location in mind to visit because I didn’t think this would really be good. But as the river bed grew louder with the falls approaching, I was drawn in. What I thought would be a quick stop turned into a couple hours of fun for us all. I love that something as simple as water that we depend on for our daily survival can be so varied and beautiful.
